A new $12 million initiative launched by the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation is looking to expand civic engagement and education. The Ford50 campaign is looking to increase awareness and civility in politics at a time of great division in Washington, D.C. “This was Dad’s style of public service, was to meet in the middle and find some compromises; to listen; to have that principled leadership, that character, that integrity,” Ford’s son, Steve Ford, said. “This is just a continuation of the good work Dad started years, decades ago with this museum and foundation and to help educate young people on how to be a public servant.”
